A History of Service

On December 15, 1971, Pastor Murphy and a group of 54 followers met at 2705 Joy Road being inspired by the Holy Spirit, organized a church body dedicated to do the will of God and were inspired to name her Greater Ebenezer Ministries. On February 21, 1972, with approximately 60 members we moved to our new home. We worshipped and praised the Lord and gave him the glory and honor for every blessing large and small. Because of the oneness in spirit, it was prophesied that Greater Ebenezer would grow by leaps and bounds, and that God’s blessings would be poured out on us. On Sunday, November 6, 1977, we motorcade to our present home, praising and rejoicing in the Lord. Look where he has brought us from!!! We were growing in leaps and bounds. Our memberships by 1983 were way over 2000 members and still souls were still being added to the church. Not only did the Lord inspire our Pastor to buy the building; but, by way of the inspiration of the Lord, he has become foremost a religious author and inventor and to mobilize five other churches.
